L.A.M.E. Ch.1 (WIP)
The first thing I saw was darkness. Then slowly light seeped through my eyelids.
It was blinding.
Everything was all blurry, just silhouettes dancing in front of a searchlight. My other senses weren’t exactly functional either. I couldn’t feel the saliva in my mouth, I couldn’t even feel what I was laying down on. But worst of all I couldn’t tell if I was breathing or not, it was as if I had forgotten all instinct. As if I was reborn with knowledge and experience instead of evolutionary basics.
When my vision finally cleared up, the light gave way and revealed a deep aquamarine ceiling encrusted with vines; they crawled down the walls and sprawled all over the floor. Was I really seeing things right? I tried to wipe my eyes but my arms wouldn’t budge. No, nothing would.
